Hi, I’m Andres.

I’m a Brooklyn-based playwright and screenwriter who loves lives to collaborate with other artists. I grew up in the lightning capital of America—also somehow the butterfly capital of America—but I’m happy to call NYC home for the past 11 years. My plays have been described as “beautifully twisted” and also “high quality dark comedy,” but personally I think my plays are warm and heartfelt… just not always on the surface.

My plays have been presented in various capacities at some amazing venues around town, including the Wild Project, Cherry Lane Theatre, Dixon Place, The Brick, Loading Dock Theatre, The Tank, the People’s Improv Theater, and NYU.

I was a semifinalist for The Playwrights Realm's Writing Fellowship, a finalist for Ars Nova's Play Group, and a recipient of the Latinx Playwrights Circle’s 2019-2020 Intensive Mentorship. In 2018, I was awarded a BFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, as well as the Chair’s Award in Dramatic Writing. Currently, I am thrilled to be pursuing my MFA in Playwriting at Brooklyn College.

Send me a message if you want to read a play or collaborate on any new projects. :)
